A product of the “Behind the Scenes Music Video Workshop”, coordinated by Colleen Power and Roger Maunder. Made possible by the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council, Touring Schools Program, and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. In May of 2009, 20 students of Laval High School participated in a Behind the Scenes workshop that showed students how to write and record a song, and then film the music video. The song is a humorous look at the road conditions in Placentia, Newfoundland, and was shot in the area. Yr: 2010 It was a dark and stormy night, heavy rainfall, twisting slippery dangerous road conditions. Our band braved this weather to make this video. Enjoy!

A short vid showing the road conditions when driving in Sweden during the winter months…damn cold!!! Temperature throughout the 5 days spend there did not rise higher than -24oc and went as low as -30oc…

A 4X4 road trip to the top of Shasta Bally in Whiskeytown recreation area. This will give some information on what the road conditions are and some of the sights along the way.

Going to go out again and choose a different point of view. The sound is unfortunately off too. The road conditions were not that good … had some very slippery turns in there and with summer tires it’s kind of an battle you can’t win at -3ºC. Observation(s): – Only one car not giving way to Ambulance – Mother with pram / pusher crossing the road in traffic – Driving slowly & a lesson in patience – Truck almost clips car, but does a good job turning – Flustered right hand turn – U-turn right in front of me! – Boy drag racers (Flagstaff Road) Conditions: Very good, middle to low 20’s (Celsius) Date/Time: Wednesday, 11 Feb 2009 Current Road Toll: www.dtei.sa.gov.au What:Driving Diary (12 month experimental project) Where: South Australia Why: To record 12 months of my life driving, and in the process reflect on my own driving behaviour and to possibly highlight how other ppl’s behaviours can impact negatively on us. Accidents can be so easily avoided. Sound: I only keep one CD in the car and change that weekly, so there will be some repetition. GPS also makes a few sounds and audible directions. After a morning of snowboarding and sledging on Friday 8th January 2010, when me and 3 other friends were on our way home we crashed. I was driving up a shallow incline on a right hand bend as a BMW 320d tourer was coming down. The road was narrow and only wide enough for one vehicle. We were both doing in between 5-10mph, we saw eachother, braked, but due to the icy road conditions it was inevitable that we hit eachother. This is what’s left of my car. But thankfully all 5 people in the crash were un-hurt. I posted this video to warn people, especially with our current weather conditions in the UK, how merciless this ice can be on the roads. So be careful, plan well ahead, and only use the car if you absolutely have to. Thanks.
