Taking off from Plymouth Airport
audiblemarketing.com This week I have been doing holiday cover for a traffic reporting company. For an hour-ish each morning and afternoon I have been airborne, reporting live from the “Pirate Eye” for Pirate FM radio in Cornwall. This video shows us (me and Becky the pilot) taking off this morning from Plymouth Airport.

For an hour-ish each morning and afternoon I have been airborne, reporting live from the “Pirate Eye” for Pirate FM radio in Cornwall. This video shows us (me and Becky the pilot) landing this morning at Plymouth Airport. Although the weather has been glorious the wind has made things a bit bumpy, especially over Plymouth. This is our bumpiest landing so far… we hit the tarmac pretty hard!
WBAP Hal Jay plays JAM jingles
Hal Jay has been at WBAP Ft. Worth/Dallas since 1981. For 13 years he had the unusual distinction of hosting both the morning AND afternoon drive-time slots, along with pilot Dick Siegel who was in the air doing traffic reports. We visited Hal on September 3, 1993, as he anchored all of the afternoon news, sports, weather and traffic interlaced with his own good humor. At that time the station, which had transitioned from country music to news-talk, was using “The Spirit of New England” …
Raytheon Beech King Air 350 .. Part 5
and river below. Because of the extreme drop off on both ends of the runway, local pilots have described it as comparable to landing on an aircraft carrier. After our pilot completes the engine shut down, you are treated to some of the local traffic and scenery at Telluride Regional. On the return trip to Centennial, you observe once again as our pilot gets the King Air up and running. Telluride Regional is a busy non-tower controlled airport, and with only one way in and one way out of …
