This is a video series of a cabride on Millenium tram 724 of the Blackpool & Fleetwood tramway. The ride is from Fleetwood Ferry to Starr Gate. This is the second part from Broadwaters to Cleveleys. All tram stops are labeled. Video was filmed during 2006 before the track relay and alterations to the junctions/point work. The journey continues from Broadwaters. At this location is where the Fleetwood Campus for Blackpool & Fylde College is located and also a couple of caravan parks for tourist are. From Broadwaters the tramway is on reserved track to the Rossall area. From the Rossall area the reserved tram tracks follow alongside the A587 main road. At Thornton Gate, this is where there is a small yard located, which was a coal yard. Coal was transport via the tramway from Fleetwood to this location. Also at this location, a number of trams were cut up during the 1960’s when the tramway was rationalised. The yard today is a p-way storage for the Tracks council crew. From Thornton Gate to Cleveleys, the tram tracks cross various roads. The tram having to stop at each crossing to check for road traffic. When the tramway was built in this area, the roads were already here and so road traffic has priority crossing the tramway. At cleveleys the tramway has a crossover for trams which arrive from Blackpool and terminate here then turn back to head back to Blackpool and the south.
