Metroline E8 bus driver went through a red light and met oncoming traffic at the start of single lane roadworks. After 10 minutes of heated discussions the driver agreed to reverse 20 yards to let oncoming traffic pass Phil Shafe for Network Support Officer Metroline made the following statement. “All drivers are trained to a high standard and they should, of course, drive in accordance with the Highway Code and appropriate to the prevailing traffic and road conditions. Arrangements will be made for a Local Manager to trace the driver of the vehicle concerned so that appropriate and effective action is taken. Thank you for bringing the matter to our attention.”
