(50) Car Cam: Conclusion – Bad Drivers Are Consistent
What is emerging appears to be the ripple affect of one or two unskilled or selfish drivers in any one trip, amongst regular traffic. These drivers seem to be few, but their actions are many. Which is why the same cars keep reappearing in my narrative. Thus, another car case study appears in the diary for 03 Mar 2009. Observation(s): – Silver car case study – Pedestrians blocking traffic – Rain and white road markings – Ponderings of the 60km or 80km limit – Airport emergency rescue appliance – Cheap petrol $109.9 litre – Caltex on Brighton Road – Misc driving obs – Van disobeying lane direction / south road – Shopping centre parking – How to turn and do your hair Conditions: Fair, intermittent rain, 17C Date/Time: Tuesday, 03 Mar 2009 Current Road Toll: www.dtei.sa.gov.au What:Driving Diary (12 month experimental project) Where: South Australia Why: To record 12 months of my life driving, and in the process reflect on my own driving behaviour and to possibly highlight how other ppl’s behaviours can impact negatively on us. Accidents can be so easily avoided. Sound: I only keep one CD in the car and change that weekly, so there will be some repetition. GPS also makes a few sounds and audible directions. This is for educational (not punitive) purposes, it is my belief that citizens shouldn’t police other citizens. twitter.com Further Info – Road Traffic Act (1961): www.legislation.sa.gov.au
