RCMP Police car involved 3 vehicle Accident Moncton
RCMP officer called for back up as he was in a foot pursuit of a man going up Pine Glen Road then onto Havelock Road and then back down onto Coverdale Road by the Dairy Queen and a Bicycle shop where he jumped the fence . This is when this accident occurred between the Patrol car, truck and car at the entrance to Gunningsville Bridge and Assomption Blvd. Road conditions at time of accident were wet, it was raining lightly. Absolutely right. You are supposed to yield to an emergency vehicle driving code 3 or “lights and siren.” All emergency vehicles are to to come to a complete stop and/ or reduce their speed and ensure intersections are clear.

its funny how i was talking about this 4weeks ago. the other day 2 police vechiles code3 down our main street , a tahoe in front of me just kept on going, turned right in front of the rcmp suburban. some ppl are just dreaming when they drive. that cop could be on the way to save someones life or catch a assault suspect and other ppl could really give a fuck except for there own lifes and nothing else. makes me sick

yes they can move through red lights. but only after stopping or slowing enough to make sure traffic is clear. emergency lights and sirens activated is saying yield to me. but its the job of the officer, fire fighter or emt driver to make sure.
Yes, it was the officer who ‘ran’ the red light, with lights and sirens….. In my state, when you hear sirens you GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!!! Don’t keep driving because if there is a wreck, it will be your fault for failure to yield. Emergency vehicles can run red lights in most states.
